Hudson Valley Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be holding a 2024 Service Academy Information Night at SUNY Westchester Community College in Valhalla on Wednesday, September 18^th from 6-8PM.

This event will highlight unique opportunities available through the nation’s five service academies, as well as a Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program in the Hudson Valley and three local institutions, which are designated as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) and expect to have offerings through the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Cyber Service Academy Program.

Students may apply for a 2024 Service Academy Nomination through Senator Gillibrand’s website at https://www.gillibrand.senate.gov/help/academy-nominations/. The deadline to apply and submit all materials in consideration for a nomination through our office is Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET.

Requirements for consideration:

· Age: at least 17 years old, but not yet 23 (25 for Merchant Marine Academy) by July 1^st of the year of admission

· Citizenship: a U.S. citizen and permanent resident of New York State

· Marital Status: unmarried, not pregnant, and no legal obligations to support children or other dependents
